Career Background

Graduated from the Faculty of International Hotel and Tourism Management at The University of Queensland, Australia.

After graduation, gained hands-on experience in the hospitality industry through hotel service roles in Australia, the United Kingdom, and France.

After returning to Japan, acquired the first pension-style lodge, Peppermint (Hakakusa), in Nasu Highlands in 1998 and began a career in hospitality management.

In 2003, opened the second property, Hotel Rosewood Garden & Villa, in Nasu Highlands.
It was one of Japan’s pioneering small luxury hybrid hotels, blending the finest aspects of international hospitality with the refined spirit of Japanese service.

The property features five European-style villas harmoniously nestled within the beautiful landscape of Nasu Highlands, each equipped with a private indoor bath and open-air hot spring bath.

In 2015, opened the third property, Seven Stars Resort Ishigaki, an ultimate small luxury resort limited to just one group per day in Ishigaki Island.
Today, continues to welcome guests with a commitment to exceptional hospitality.

What Inspired My Career

Ever since childhood, I have never forgotten the warm and welcoming atmosphere of a place my family once stayed.

That unforgettable experience stayed with me and gradually inspired a strong desire to pursue a career in hospitality.
As that passion grew, I became determined to dedicate myself fully to this profession and master the art of creating exceptional guest experiences.

That commitment has guided me throughout my career to this day.

Commitment to Hospitality

At the heart of everything I do is one simple belief:

To bring the greatest possible joy to every guest.

This philosophy has always been my foundation.

I believe in doing everything possible to ensure each guest has a truly memorable stay.
Preparation is essential, and even if only a small part of that preparation becomes necessary, it is worthwhile if it helps create moments of happiness and comfort for our guests.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing our guests genuinely delighted during their stay.

Private Chef

At Seven Stars Resort Ishigaki, every meal is prepared exclusively for just one group of guests per day by our private chef.

After refining culinary skills at luxury hotels in Tokyo, our chef moved to Ishigaki Island and further developed expertise while working at ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort.

With a passion for bringing out the natural flavors of each ingredient, our chef carefully selects fresh local produce and creates dishes that highlight the true essence of the cuisine.

At our resort, every dish is thoughtfully prepared with the desire to offer an unforgettable dining experience tailored exclusively for each guest.

Culinary Philosophy

Our chef shares the same philosophy as our resort owner, Mikihito Ishikawa:

“There is never an answer of ‘impossible.’”

Instead of focusing on limitations, we always begin by asking:
“How can we make it possible?”

This mindset is reflected in every dining experience we create, with the goal of delivering the finest cuisine and heartfelt hospitality to every guest.

We sincerely hope you will enjoy an exceptional culinary experience during your stay.

Commitment to Quality

We do not use artificial seasonings in our cuisine.

Every dish is carefully handcrafted from scratch, with time, dedication, and attention to detail, so you can enjoy each meal with confidence and peace of mind.

Beyond the ingredients themselves, we also pay special attention to presentation.

Our dishes are served on locally crafted Okinawan ceramics, allowing you to experience the beauty and spirit of Okinawa not only through taste, but also through sight.

We invite you to savor a relaxed and refined dining experience that engages all the senses.
